“Hello Families, Friends, Teachers, and Members of Sunday School!”

Thanks to each and everyone for stepping up to the plate on November 15th COOKIE WALK. The bakers in our parish family did a splendid job, as usual, in helping to provide Sunday School with a delicious variety of delectable goodies for purchase during coffee hour. Thank you to what must have been a very hungry congregation for your purchases. We sold every one of those cookies!! Because of everyone’s generosity, one way or another, a nice fat check for $139.00 was mailed to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen NY with love from ALL at Holy Innocents.

The month of December brings us the joyous news that Christ the Savior is born! This is a precious gift from God to us. As we do each year, we celebrate and share God’s love for us by helping to spread that love to others. We are once again proud to partner with the ladies of the ECW in helping them help families in need.

The Gift Giving tree will be set up in Martin Hall by November 29th. On the tree, you will have paper ornaments (made by our Sunday school children) available for your choosing, with gift wishes from the children at The Children’s Home. You are more than generous each and every year we do this. I look forward to you making your Sunday School Superintendent weep with joy at the monumental pile of love this represents.

Please do not wrap the gift. You may place them in gift bags. Make sure the paper ornament is attached to the package. This is so I can help St. Nick bag these gifts of love for his delivery. Gifts should be brought back to Martin Hall and placed near the Christmas tree BY DECEMBER 13th. That only gives us 2 Sundays / December 6th & December 13th. You can also drop them off during the week, as long as the office is opened. Please don’t leave them with our wonderful Cathy Battler, she has enough to do! Just take them in and put them under the tree!

We will hold a fund raiser~Holiday Breakfast for our parish families on December 13th during coffee hour. Now, if you’ve been to one of our Heifer breakfasts, you know how DELICIOUS a spread this is going to be!! All donations will be given to our ladies of Holy Innocents’ ECW to help with their Christmas Food Baskets.

Our Children’s Christmas program for your enjoyment will be during service December 20th. Sunday school families…Miss Ellen will let us know when she is available for rehearsal, and we will let the kids know that date at one of our Sunday school classes.

Note: There will be no Sunday school classes held December 27th!

A special CONGRATULATIONS to Olivia Mrazek, Joseph Mrazek, Libby Meyer, and Katie Cowper for their achievement in learning “The Lord’s Prayer,” and praying it with Father Frank during the Holy Communion on November 8th. Thank You, Father Frank for a treasured memory for each of these children.

May the miraculous event of our Savior’s birth strengthen your love of God, Church, Family, and Friends.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
