The Episcopal Church of The Holy Innocents
We are striving to continue to have Sunday Coffee Hours throughout the Summer. The first Sunday of each month is sponsored by the Altar Guild and the second Sunday is Vestry Birthday Cake celebration. Sunday School takes a break during the Summer months. This leaves the remaining weeks of each month open to all who are willing to sign up. The calendar is on the bulletin board in the hallway outside Martin Hall. Coffee hour doesn’t have to be coffee. During the Summer months, iced tea, lemonade and other chilled beverages are perfect choices. Also simple snacks like bagels, cookies, fruit, etc. are easy and no baking required. Please consider volunteering. It’s important to have this social time and have the opportunity to have this social time to chat with Mother Caroline and each other.

The Birthday Club was started two years ago giving each of us an opportunity to commemorate our special day by considering a contribution of $1 (or more) for each of our years. In the past, the monies raised have been donated to The Episcopal Relief & Development Fund and International Justice Mission. Most of us don’t need any “thing” for our birthday, so consider celebrating with generosity and join the Birthday Club! To date, The Birthday Club has raised $697. Your stewardship committee is looking into options for Electronic Giving for those who might be interested. A number of parishioners have already done so by scheduling recurring payments thru their online banking. “Gratitude will always return us to the signs of God’s love we were created to be; it fights back against scarcity, grumbling, and gossip because gratitude always assumes the best in people and looks for the signs of God’s blessing in the midst of good times and challenging ones."
A small group of parishioners have begun playing Mah Jongg in Martin Hall on Thursdays at 1pm. If you know how to play and would like to join us please contact me so that I may add you to our list. There is a class being taught at the Stafford Library beginning March 6th at 10:30am. For more info you should call Joan at 609 978-3992. The class is about full so call now!! If you have played the online version of Mah Jongg, you are not playing Mah Jongg! We may be able to get a class together at a later date if there is enough interest...no promises, but contact me and I’ll put a list together Jeanne Cashel ~ firstname.lastname@example.org ~ 609 492-3505
