The Episcopal Church of the Holy Innocents

We are in need of volunteers to staff the classroom if we are to continue our “Summer Sunday School”. We hope that this might give our Summer visitors a chance to get to know the fun of learning about Jesus.
There will be a signup sheet posted on the hallway bulletin board.  We are hoping that if we get enough participation,  a volunteer will only have to be responsible one Sunday of the month.
Summer Sunday school would begin June 23rd.

Heifer International

Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen

Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen has been a symbol of hope and compassion in the Chelsea section of Manhattan since 1982. Housed in the landmark Church of the Holy Apostles, the Soup Kitchen serves over 1,000 hot nutritious meals on average each and every weekday, including holidays. Anyone who comes to our door is welcome – without question or qualification

Heifer International's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self-reliance and hope.

With gifts of livestock and training, Heifer projects help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. We refer to our animal donations as "living loans" because in exchange for their livestock and training, families agree to give one of its animal's offspring to another family in need. It's called Passing on the Gift – a cornerstone of our mission that creates an ever-expanding network of hope and peace.

Sunday School

MAY 19th marks the last day of Sunday school for the Fall/Winter/Spring.
As in the past, RECOGNITION SUNDAY will be a celebration of all God’s work through our Sunday school and all those that support its hard work.
We will continue our celebration with a COOKIE WALK for Operation Smiles! Cookie donations always much appreciated!
